Comprehensive environmental solutions addressing Ethiopia's most pressing challenges
Our programs are organized around key thematic areas that address the most critical environmental and natural resource challenges in Ethiopia.
Building resilience to climate change through community-based adaptation strategies, early warning systems, and sustainable agricultural practices.
Implementing sustainable waste management solutions including recycling, composting, and community education programs.
Promoting sustainable land management practices that protect soil health and prevent land degradation.
Ensuring sustainable access to clean water through conservation, purification, and community water management systems.
Protecting and restoring forest ecosystems through community forestry, reforestation, and sustainable forest management.
Conserving Ethiopia's rich biodiversity through protected area management and community conservation programs.
Our flagship Macadamia Agroforestry project demonstrates the power of sustainable agriculture in environmental conservation and community development. This innovative approach combines tree planting with agricultural production, creating multiple benefits for both the environment and local communities.
The project involves training local farmers in agroforestry techniques, providing seedlings and technical support, and establishing market linkages for the harvested nuts. We work closely with community leaders and agricultural experts to ensure the long-term success of the initiative.
